Job Description:
Motorola Solutions is looking for a Salesforce Developer Intern to join the Digital Experiences and Architecture: Customer Support IT Engineering team. As part of this internship, you'll have the opportunity to design and develop Salesforce solutions that will support customer care agents, success managers, and business partners. You’ll work closely with Salesforce developers, architects, and QA engineers to help build applications that deliver real-world value to our customers.
This is a hands-on internship where you will gain experience with Salesforce products, including Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, ChatBot, and AI technologies. You’ll be involved in the full development cycle, from understanding business requirements to delivering quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with product managers, owners, software developers, and architects to understand business needs and build solutions using Salesforce tools.
Design and Build Salesforce Apps: Use Salesforce’s suite of native and custom objects, flows, validations, APEX, SQL/SOQLs, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and APIs to develop and enhance applications.
Document Technical Specifications: Participate in design sessions, and help create documentation such as technical specs, process flows, and data models.
Follow Agile Methodology: Work in Agile sprints, continuously contributing to the development process and learning new tools and techniques.
Problem-solving and Innovation: Proactively address challenges, suggest improvements, and contribute to quality enhancement initiatives.
Basic Requirements:
Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (graduating in 2025) or a recent graduate with coursework in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field.
Programming Skills: Experience with basic programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
Salesforce Knowledge (Preferred but not required): Familiarity with Salesforce platform features such as account and contact management, profiles, permissions, sharing rules, flows, and reports.
Salesforce Development Experience (Preferred but not required): Knowledge of APEX, LWC, Flows, triggers, and APIs.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineering peers, product owners, and business partners.
Additional Skills:
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts is a plus.
Experience working with Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud is highly desirable.
Passion for continuous learning and growth in Salesforce development.
